A remarkable season of determination and teamwork has seen the Open Girls cross country squad crowned champions of the East Midlands Inter Schools Cross Country League, finishing unbeaten and firmly securing first place overall.
The team delivered outstanding performances throughout the season, consistently outpacing strong competition from across the region. Their undefeated record is a testament not only to their athletic ability, but also to their dedication, resilience, and support for one another across every race.
Representing the School with distinction were Jemima, Eliza, Marianna, Emma, Trixie, Phoebe, Eliza and Ophelia, all of whom played a vital role in the team’s success. Each runner contributed to the squad’s dominance, demonstrating both individual excellence and a powerful collective spirit.
A special mention goes to Phoebe, who achieved an exceptional individual accolade by finishing as the second fastest female runner in the entire league — an impressive feat in a highly competitive field. Although not pictured with the team, Ophelia’s efforts were equally valued, contributing to the squad’s depth and strength across the season.
