Oundle’s Governing Body consists of seventeen members, including eight Governors nominated by the Court of the Grocers’ Company. It maintains a sharp focus on finances and strategic planning, as well as providing wise counsel to the School’s Leadership Team. The Governing Body provides balance between the two schools of Oundle School and Laxton Junior School, ensuring that the needs and aspirations of each are properly taken into account, whilst ensuring it has the interests of the whole Corporation of Oundle School at its heart.

Mr Campbell-Johnston holds an ex officio membership of the Governing Body in his capacity as Second Warden of the Grocers’ Company. He is a partner of Sarasin & Partners LLP, an investment management firm, and has 30 years' experience in this profession.

Mr Chippington is Head of St John’s College School, Cambridge and has a distinguished career in education. He has been Chairman of the Choir Schools’ Association and continues on the Committee as Treasurer. Mr Chippington is also a Governor of Park Street Church of England Primary School, Cambridge.

Mr Chisenhale-Marsh holds an ex officio membership of the Governing Body in his capacity as Master of the Grocers’ Company.
He enjoyed a distinguished career in the wine trade before diversifying into farming, venue event management and construction opportunities.

Mrs D’Oyly’s background is in finance and education, and runs a private tutoring business, working primarily with individuals who have additional learning needs. She was appointed to the Family Bench of the 'Cambridgeshire magistracy' in May 2021. Mrs D’Oyly is a former parent.

Mrs Jordan is an independent education marketing consultant with extensive experience in marketing and school admissions following a career as a strategy director in advertising and television. She is currently studying for a Masters in History of Art at the Courtauld Institute.

Mr Lawson’s background is in the Property and Construction sectors and he is a Fellow of both the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and the Chartered Institute of Building. He is an Old Oundelian.

Ben Shepherd-Smith is an IT Data Consultant and formerly the Technical Director for an international software house servicing the advertising and media industry. He is an Old Oundelian, Grocer, and former parent.

Mr Tyler is the Group Company Secretary of Porvair plc, an international manufacturer of specialist filtration, laboratory and environmental technology products. He was Group Finance Director of Porvair plc from 2004 to 2021 and had previously held a number of senior financial positions at Cable & Wireless. He is a Chartered Accountant and former parent.

Mr Whitmore's background is in property development. He is in his third period as a Governor, after his ex officio membership ended at the end of his term as Master of the Grocers’ Company and having completed a three-year term as Governor.
