We are very much looking forward to welcoming prospective parents to the School once again as nothing can quite replace experiencing Oundle in person. Individual visits will recommence at the end of September and will take place from Mondays through to Saturdays during term time. Hosted by the Registrar, these will continue to be tailored to each family’s needs and will enable you to see the School in action. In order that we can keep all of our community as safe as possible, we do ask that all our visitors kindly respect the enhanced protocols we have in place. We are also looking at ways in which we can safely host Open Mornings at Oundle later this term; please do revisit this page or contact the Admissions Team for more information in due course.
We pride ourselves on offering a warm welcome to Oundle, with initial visits usually lasting around three to four hours. As we re-commence visits this term, necessary adjustments have been made to our usual programme and numbers of visitors will be restricted to help keep all our communities safe. Families will be welcomed by the Registrar before having a tour of the School, including dedicated time with a Housemaster or Housemistress and other members of staff by arrangement. All tours will conclude back in the Admissions Office with the Registrar. Regrettably, we are unable to host visits within Houses or offer lunch with pupils at present but we look forward to resuming these elements of our visits as soon as it is feasible to do so.
To ensure that your visit is as meaningful and informative as possible, please do take the time to give us as much detail as possible about your child so that we can tailor your visit accordingly, such as a meeting with the Directors of Music or Sport, or with our SEND lead (Special Educational Needs Support) or with the Deputy Head Admissions to discuss scholarships and bursaries.

We have found that these short and personal events are an excellent introduction to Oundle for families to take part in from the comfort of their own homes ahead of visiting us in person. We are hosting two live virtual Q&A Forums in the near future. The first, taking place on Saturday 19th September 2020, is aimed exclusively at those looking to join Oundle for Sixth Form (at 16+) and the next, taking place on Saturday 3rd October 2020, is for those looking at 11+ and 13+ entry. Both events will be hosted by the Head, the Registrar and the Deputy Head Admissions. They will consist of a short presentation by the Head, followed by questions from both parents and pupils which our panel will answer in real time. There will also be an opportunity to speak to other subject-specific staff. Our experience has shown that this approach, combined with limited numbers, creates a relaxed and informal atmosphere and thereby a tangible insight into our community.
