Geordie Irvine (Sc) has been selected to join the 22 man squad at the England Rugby U18 Development Camp in York this weekend, identifying him as one of the best players in the country for his position and age.

A Sports Scholar and Captain of the 1st XV, Geordie trains with the Northampton Saints Academy. Last season he played back-row for the Saints in the Premiership Rugby U18s League, and gave an impressive performance against the Worcester Warriors, scoring two tries.

During the enforced break in competition and training, Geordie worked hard over the past months to develop his fitness and skills, and his efforts have maintained his competitive edge.

Across the UK, 44 rugby players were selected to join the development camps, 22 in the North and 22 in the South at Bristol. The two training camps are the start of the 20/21 England U18 season, with further development training camps scheduled in the build-up to resumed competition.
