This year’s annual charity swim was completed by eleven Upper Sixth Form pupils who swam in relay continuously for 24 hours.

Organised by Aidan (G), the team fueled themselves with high energy snacks throughout the day and night and exhibited admirable stamina to swim a total of 77,129 metres (48 miles); more than the distance to swim from Dover to Calais and back.

Exceeding previous records, they raised £2910 for a local charity that many of the pupils are involved in – Oundle Mencap, which hosts summer holidays for children with disabilities.

The team included (not all pictured): Aidan (G), Livy (K), Maddie (L), Maria (W), Matvey (C), Timi (S), Oliver (C), Oliver (L), Paxton (C), Sophie (K), Thomas (C).
