This Half Term the Stahl Theatre is hosting a new series of weekly Playgroups for all pupils to participate in. Across two sessions for junior and senior pupils on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, the Playgroups give pupils the opportunity to meet theatre professionals and learn about different aspects of producing and writing a play and working in the theatre.

The Peterborough based company, Lamphouse Theatre kicked off the series with a session on How to Stage a Blockbuster.

Upcoming sessions include Amy Fisher, creative producer at Stephen Joseph Theatre in Scarborough who will talk about the challenges of producing a play “in the round”, and playwright and screenwriter Alecky Blythe, best known for her pioneering work in verbatim theatre.

Jez Bond (OO) will return to Oundle to talk about the feat of creating a theatre from scratch. Having raised over £2.6m to transform a vacant office building in North London into a flourishing theatre, Jez is now the Artistic Director of Park Theatre.
