Oundle School is delighted to announce that planning permission for McMurray House, a cornerstone of Project 24, has been approved. Work now begins on the final design phase, moving towards the start of construction in the next calendar year.

As we look ahead to celebrating 35 years of co-education at Oundle in 2025, this flagship boarding House will stand as a proud statement of our position as one of the world’s leading co-educational boarding and day schools. It also gives us the confidence and flexibility to adapt to the market changes that we anticipate over the coming years.

This exciting development will bring girls’ boarding into the heart of Oundle by transforming the site of the former Oundle Primary School into a state-of-the-art, 60-bed boarding House for girls aged 13-18. Upon its completion, the New House community will relocate to McMurray House.

Named after former Headmaster David McMurray, whose visionary leadership introduced co-education to Oundle, the House will provide a fitting tribute to him and the Governors who helped shape this legacy.
