The results have been tallied, and Oundle’s 1st XI footballers have won the Mercian League for the first time this century. Their previous best position in the Mercian was second in 2015.

The team sealed the Independent School Football Association Mercian U18 League title on Saturday 17 March with a 6-0 win over Uppingham School.

In eight games, Oundle lost only one match against Princethorpe. In total they scored 25 goals and conceded 8.

Over the season the team achieved a 75% win percentage from twelve games, which ranks them 14th nationally in the U18A division of eighty independent schools.

The team celebrated the season’s success at their awards dinner last Term. The Clubman Award was presented to Murdo (G); William (St A) Most Improved; Ty (G) Top Goalscorer; Louis (G) Manager’s Player; Oli (L) Player’s Player.
