Oundle is a lively, warm and friendly school with a diverse pupil and staff body, and a brilliantly supportive global alumni community.

Looking around the school, building after building reminds us of the philanthropy that has sustained us, from the gifting of land by our founder Sir William Laxton in 1556, to the list of parent and alumni donors that graces the entrance to the recently opened Sports Centre, and the numerous pupils who are only able to experience all that Oundle has to offer thanks to our generous bursary programme.

The school enjoys an excellent reputation and sits comfortably within the top tier of the UK boarding sector. Over the last ten years more than £16m has been raised in support of bursaries and capital projects, and we are about to enter an exciting phase as we prepare to launch a major fundraising campaign, which will coincide with a celebration of 35 years of co-education at Oundle School.

The new Deputy Director of Development will play a key part in helping us achieve our philanthropic goals. This role provides a real opportunity to make a tangible difference: devising and shaping strategy, driving forward our stewardship and legacies programmes, building key relationships with major donors, and working closely with the newly appointed Director of Development on the next advances in this vital area of the school’s work.

This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic relationship manager who is highly motivated, creative, and intellectually curious, with experience of working within a fundraising or relatable field. We are looking for a dedicated colleague who will enjoy working across a vibrant constituency within a beautiful architectural setting to deepen philanthropic relationships between the school and its alumni and parent body.
