What does it take to work in the high-pressured world of high-stake finance? A level Economists spent the morning sitting in the seat of an asset manager in a simulation run by AmplifyME, a trainer to the world’s leading financial institutions, such as Morgan Stanley. The pupils started by analysing global and UK market trends ahead of a presentation on the role of the financial sector and key drivers of stock price changes.
Pupils then completed a 40-minute live simulation, trading equities and cryptocurrencies against one another to see who could make the most profit, whilst also avoiding excessive risks. The morning concluded with a plenary linking the world of finance to their academic studies.
