A BRIEF HISTORY

The Great Hall was designed by Arthur Bloomfield and originally housed classrooms, the school library, an art museum and a hall. The foundation stone was laid in 1907, and it was formally opened on Speech Day in July 1909.

The south wing houses two lecture halls named after prominent Old Oundelians: the Cecil Lewis Room and the Arthur Marshall Room.

The Great Hall is a landmark in the town and a popular venue for conferences, concerts, banquets, balls and lectures. Visitors to the Head and Admissions are welcome to park directly in front of the building.
