The Old Oundelian Golfing Society was formally founded in 1930 at the behest of the then Headmaster Kenneth Fisher, so that a team could enter the Halford Hewitt; the first entry was therefore in 1931. OOGS (as Oundle) has won the prestigious tournament twice, in 1962 and 1997. The society now has over 220 members with regular fixtures up and down the country. The Annual Weekend at Luffenham Heath takes place in early September. Please contact Nick Copestick (Ldr ’69) nick.copestick@mac.com if you are interested in joining the society.
As well as the representative scratch alumni competitions, there are many other friendly fixtures open to all. Please contact the match manager if you would like to take part.
