Policing

Sir Matt Baggott served with the police for 37 years. He was Chief Constable of the Police Service of Northern Ireland from 2009 to 2014 where his emphasis on community policing, with police on the beat and close co-operation with church and community groups, helped steer the force through post-conflict Northern Ireland.
