Jazz Guitarist Sam Dunn is an exciting and lyrical performer on his instrument, with a stylistic breadth that blurs the boundaries between early swing and bop to contemporary improvised music.
A regular performer at UK venues such as Ronnie Scott’s, The Vortex, the 606 club, and many more, Sam has led his own projects on national tours, and is a go to accompanist for jazz musicians and ensemble leaders in London and beyond. Recent work has seen him tour the Australia with US pianist Judy Carmichael, and perform at Jazz festivals across the UK and Europe with his own bands and as a sideman. In this concert Sam will draw on the history of jazz music, and will present music from artists such as Duke Ellington, Thelonious Monk, Bill Evans and others.
In response to COVID-19, we have reluctantly closed our concerts to everyone outside of the Oundle School community. However, we have given careful thought as to the best line-up of musical offerings that could easily be recorded and presented online. Please try to follow us and keep in touch. We will place links for online events on these pages. We hope to see you back in our audience just as soon as circumstances allow.
