The team delivered a very tight bowling and fielding performance against a Repton side that never got out of second gear. Repton managed 182-5 in their 35 overs, with the highlights a superb catch in the covers from Bill Cartledge and miserly bowling from both Spragg J and Chatterton. Then after a steady start from new boys Alastair Macleod-Smith and James Samworth the Rovers accelerated magnificently to reach the target in the 31<sup>st<\/sup>\u00a0over for only four wickets down, with Cartledge again the hero with a man-of-the-match 56 not out, helped by a cameo from skipper Stuart Morgan.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a class=\"button\" href=\"https:\/\/oundlerovers.play-cricket.com\/Matches?tab=WeeklyResult\">Read the full scorecard here<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The team comprised the following: Macleod-Smith A, Samworth J, Sharp R, Cartledge W, McAlpine J, Morgan S, Arnold J, Spragg G, Richardson A, Spragg J, Chatterton P.<\/p>\n<p>This is the third season of the Over 50\u2019s Cricketer Cup and the Rovers are looking forward to their next round either at Bradfield or Stowe on 31 May.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Rovers season kicked off early with the Over 50\u2019s timing their run chase to perfection at Repton last Sunday.
