The world of which our pupils are going to become part has changed so much in terms of the expectations of boys and girls about their future, that they’re going to live and work alongside each other in terms of absolute equality. Any school which like ours claims to prepare children to be citizens of the real world can no longer validate that claim unless they are living and working alongside each other on terms of absolute equality within the school.Mr D B McMurray, Headmaster, 1990
