Frank Pass Johnson from Kettering spent four years at Laxton School, leaving on the eve of war in July 1914. It is thought that he joined the London Regiment at first and then moved to the Tank Corps presumably in 1917 or late 1916, as a gunner.
He died of wounds on 5th December 1917, under unknown circumstances. He was just 19 years old at the time of his death and was buried at Rethel French National Cemetery, north-east of Rheims. Burial here means that he was originally buried by the enemy in German-occupied France.
