Tennis
Tennis is offered in the Trinity Quarter and is extremely popular with both girls and boys from the Third Form upwards. The School have twenty-four Astro tennis courts and twelve hard courts, four of which are in use throughout the year. Over 290 pupils play tennis regularly with four professional tennis coaches who help with the coaching sessions each games afternoon.
Our lead professional coach, Mark Lawrence, with Dr von Habsburg, run winter tennis on a Thursday evening from September to March. The School also organises a tennis tour every two years to the Vale de Lobo Tennis Academy in Portugal. The next tour date is 5th April – 12th April 2013.
Fixtures: Fixtures: block fixtures are played against all our local rivals with annual mixed matches against Rugby, Oakham and Uppingham. Results are excellent, with the girls winning the vast majority of their matches. In 2011, the Boys Tennis Club comfortably won their rubbers against all opposing teams, including Shrewsbury, Uppingham, Bedford, Haileybury, Stowe and Rugby. Senior teams won 12 out of 14 matches.
