Swimming

Swimming is a popular sport with boys and girls at Oundle, especially during the Trinity Quarter, with around 80 pupils opting.
The competitive season runs through the Easter and Trinity Quarters, with competitions for all age groups, from 1st to U6th Formers. Swimming is also available as a non competitive option for pupils all year round.

Water polo is also an option in the Easter Quarter and is played during the Trinity Quarter by Swimming squad members to improve fitness and encourage team spirit. The pool is also available for pupils to use outside of Games and P.E periods at various times during the week and weekends.

Oundle School boasts a long course deck level pool with competitive racing lanes and diving blocks.

The school holds an annual Inter-House competition during the Easter Quarter, the Lomax Cup, in which any pupil wishing to represent their house, at any stroke, may do so.

Fixtures: Oundle competes annually against Oakam, Uppingham, The Leys, Haileybury,Greshams,Bishops Stortford, Harrow,Loughborough.

Achievements:For the last five years Oundle has achieved a high level of wins, on average winning 90% of all fixtures throughout the age groups. The Top squad compete annually in the National Schools Championships (The Bath & Otter Cup) and has on many occasions placed within the final 8 out of 65 schools.
