Notable Achievements
The Boat Club has had many successes in recent years, with notable wins on a national level. Medals have been won at the Junior Inter-Regional Regatta (2004, 2005, 2010), National Schools Regatta (2004, 2005, 2009 ,2010) and the National Sculling Head (2011). The school 1st VIII qualified for Henley Royal Regatta in 2004, and a girls double scull reached the final of Henley Women’s Regatta in 2008.
Prominent OO Oarsmen and Women
Tom Stallard: Olympic silver medallist 2008 in the M8+. Represented Cambridge University in the 1999, 2000, 2001 and 2002 Boat Race.Rick Dunn: World Silver Medallist in 1999, 2002 and 2003, and World Champion in 2000 and 2001. Represented Cambridge University in the 2002 Boat Race with Tom Stallard.
Richard Aked: Captain of Boats (2005-2006) represented Great Britain at the Coupe de la Jeunesse in the 8+, and won gold twice.
Lottie Birks: Represented England at the Home International Regatta in 2010 held in Ireland.
