Oundle School Foundation:
How it's spent
Funds received by the Oundle School Foundation are invested or used to finance a planned programme of spending.
Investment of the Foundation's monies is handled by the Oundle Schools' Charitable Trust. Decisions on spending are agreed in advance by the Foundation Executive Committee which authorises a number of projects to receive funding from the Foundation.
The thrust of the Foundation's investment and expenditure strategy is threefold:
Annual Fund
Monies raised via the Annual Fund are spent on smaller
capital projects which can be achieved within the annual lifecycle of the
Fund. The projects are proposed by the School's academic staff and are selected
on merit.
Endowment
The Foundation contributes each year to growing the Endowment for Scholarships
and Bursaries. The Endowment was created relatively recently and has grown
from a standing start to £7.25 million. The objective is, over the years,
to create an Endowment which is sufficiently large that a comprehensive range
of scholarships and bursaries can be funded from interest which accrues from
it.
SciTec
The Foundation's other intention is to be able to donate a significant sum
each year to the SciTec Campaign Appeal. The School is committed to building
SciTec 1 and 2, an innovative, world-class, integrated teaching facility for
the Sciences, Art, Design and Technology over the coming ten years.
