St Anthony house

St.Anthony House stands on Milton Road, facing the School Chapel with which it shares its patron Saint. Its copper-domed tower is a local landmark clearly visible as one approaches Oundle from the west. Founded in 1928, the House's walled garden provides ample space for back-yard football and cricket.

Its Housemaster, Mr Clark, was appointed to Oundle in 1991 to teach History, and became Housemaster in 2004. He is married and has two children. He is actively involved in the School's Duke of Edinburgh's Award scheme, has taken many School trips abroad, coaches sport and has a range of interests, including classical music. Ian will step down as Housemaster in July.

Mr Peter Kemp will start as Housemaster in September 2012. He joined the History department in 2009, having previously taught for twelve years at Cranleigh, and has been deputy of Grafton for three years. Peter coaches hockey and cricket and assists with the Gold Duke of Edinburgh award. He is married with two young children. He is a keen golfer and enjoys music, travel and fishing.

In addition to the Housemaster the House has a team of seven tutors: Mr Devenport, Resident Deputy Housemaster (Mathematics); Mr Birkbeck (Sports Fellow); Mr Cunniffe (ICT); Mr Eadon (Choirmaster); Mr Pedley (History); Mr Pendrill (Head of History); and Mr Terrett (Hockey).

For nearly ten years Oundle has been working with the LangaLanga Scholarship fund to help pupils from Murindati Primary School go to secondary school. Since 2004, St Anthony has been supporting this scholarship fund, and now the Kariandusi School fund. If you would like to read more about the school, visit their website at Kariandusi School Trust.
