Since taking in its first boarders in 1882, Sidney House now comprises one of four Field Houses situated along Milton Road, and faces the School playing fields to the rear.
Mr. Symes arrived at Oundle as Head of Geography in 2000, and became Contingent Commander of the School's CCF in 2003. He took over the role of Housemaster at the start of the Trinity Quarter 2007, becoming the 2i/c of the CCF soon afterwards. His wife is a couture milliner and they have three young daughters. He coaches sailing, umpires hockey and is a qualified ski instructor, directing the CCF's Ski School. He is also the CCF's Vocational Qualifications officer.
In addition to the Housemaster the House has a team of seven tutors: Mr. R.
