The Laxton Parents' Association (PTA) is a body of parents and teachers whose primary objective is to enhance the education of the pupils in Laxton. In achieving this objective the Association
- develops and fosters more extended relationships between the staff, parents and others associated with Laxton
- engages in activities that support Laxton and enhance the education of the pupils attending it
- provides and assists in the provision of such activities, items or facilities deemed appropriate by the members of the Association and the staff of Laxton.
The Committee is made up of a Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer plus two further parent representatives, from each year group. In addition, there are three staff representatives including the Head and Deputy Head of Laxton. This Committee meets approximately six times per School year and organises an active and varied social programme for parents, staff and friends of Laxton. All parents are welcomed and encouraged to attend and to be involved with all Laxton PTA functions. They are also encouraged to raise any issues they feel necessary with their year-group representative (the names of whom are available in the list of members above).
