Junior Mixed House
Dr Holmstrom has taught Biology at Oundle since 1986. He is married and
has three children. His wife also teaches Biology at the School. He is
involved in cross-country running, biathlon, sailing and adventure training.
Further interests include windsurfing, angling and photography.
Mr
Aubury, Housemaster elect, worked for five years in a London advertising
agency. In 2004, he decided to re-train as a Classics teacher, and joined
the School in September 2005. He has been Deputy Housemaster of the Berrystead
since September 2006. He lives with his wife and their three boys. His
interests include rugby, cricket, guitar playing, boating and cryptic
crosswords.
Boys' Houses
Mr
Robb has taught Economics and Politics at Oundle since 2000. He is married
and has three children. He helps coach the 1st XV rugby team, soccer,
tennis, and cricket, and is in charge of clay-pigeon shooting, Gastronomy
and Scottish dancing.
Revd Edwardson has taught Religious Studies at Oundle for nine years. He
is married and has three children. His interests include choral music, opera,
renaissance art, hill walking, racquet sports and natural history.
Mr Roberts
has been appointed Crosby's Housemaster elect, and will join the House
in September 2009.
Mr Roberts has taught Physics at Oundle since 2002. He is married and has three children. He coaches rugby and dinghy sailing, and is the Contingent Commander of the Combined Cadet Force.
Mr Wood has taught English at Oundle for eleven years. He is married and
his wife is a member of the administrative staff of the School. He coaches
cricket and rugby and is interested in green issues and natural history.
Mr Burrows has taught Physics at Oundle for eighteen years. He is married
and has three children. His wife works in the School sanatorium. He coaches
fives and golf, and referees rugby. He is interested in music, theatre and
picture-framing.
Dr McDowell is Webmaster and has taught at Oundle for twenty years. He
is married and he has two children. His wife is the Laundimer Matron.
He is interested in cinema, classic modern literature, and is an armchair
fan of American football.
Mr Hammond-Chambers
has been appointed Laundimer's Housemaster elect, and will take over the
House in September 2009.
Mr Hammond-Chambers arrived at Oundle six years ago, and has run the Geography Department for the past two years. He is married to Hattie, a Physiotherapist with the NHS. He coaches cricket and rugby, and is interested in skiing and travel.
Mr Symes joined the House in April 2007. He arrived at Oundle as Head
of Geography in 2000. In addition, he has been Contingent Commander of
the School's CCF since 2003. His wife is a couture milliner and they have
three young daughters. He coaches sailing, umpires hockey and is a qualified
ski instructor.
Senior
Housemaster, Dr Hunt, has taught Biology at Oundle for twenty-six years.
He is married and his wife is the School House matron. He helps coach
the First XV rugby and is a keen bird-watcher.
Mr Langsdale
has been appointed as Housemaster elect, and will take over the House
in September 2009.
Mr Langsdale was appointed as Head of Biology eight years ago. He is married with two children and his wife coaches sport and works in the School archive. He coaches boys' and girls' hockey and instructs sub-aqua diving in the CCF.
Mr Clark has taught History at Oundle for fifteen years. He is married
and has two children. He helps organise the School's Duke of Edinburgh's
Award scheme, has taken many School trips abroad, coaches sport and has
a range of intellectual interests, including classical music.
Girls' Houses
Mrs Nunn has taught Religious Studies, Geography and Study Skills at Oundle
for seventeen years. She has two children. Her interests include music,
gardening, travel and sport.
Mrs Watt has taught Classics at Oundle since 1996. She is married and
has two children. Her interests include the Arts and law, and she is a
keen musician.
In September 2009,
Mrs Meisner will become the Housemistress of Kirkeby. Mrs Meisner has
taught at Oundle for twelve years, and is currently the Head of Religious
Studies, and was formally Head of Careers. Her husband is Assistant Director
of Studies, and they have two children. She has spent time in Zimbabwe
and Italy and enjoys maintaining contact with both.
Mrs
Layden was formerly Head of Sport, and has taught PE and Games at Oundle
for the last nine years. She is involved in the Duke of Edinburgh's scheme
and has organised a number of School trips. She has two children and is
a JP. Her interests include skiing, cycling and travel.
Mr Turner has taught Mathematics at Oundle for eighteen years. His wife
teaches Geography at the school, and they have one son. His interests include
travel, sport, cinema and gardening.
Mrs Kirk has taught Physics at Oundle since 1998 and became Housemistress
in September 2005. She is married and has two children. She is in charge
of the RAF section of the CCF, and her interests are hill walking, skiing
and travel.
