Bramston House is a Queen Anne Town House built by Stephen Bramston, a prominent lawyer, in 1701. It was purchased by the School in 1916 and later extended by the purchase of Pettit's and Moore's shops. It is situated in the centre of Oundle with boys coming in and out of the market place itself. A feature of the House is the fine garden area which includes a tennis court and cricket net, as well as a substantial 'paddock' with rugby posts. The boys still play the 'paddock game' and 'Bramston House cricket' which are unique to the House. The accommodation includes a full dormitory for the third form and was completely refurbished in 2002. It houses a maximum of 57 boys.
Mr Robb is married with three young children. He has taught Politics and Economics at Oundle since 2000 and he became Housemaster in 2002. He helps coach the 1st XV rugby, and helps out with soccer, tennis, and cricket. He is the Master in charge of clay-pigeon shooting, Gastronomy and Scottish dancing. His interests are primarily sporting, both field and ball.
In addition to the Housemaster the House has a team of seven tutors: Dr Bessent (Chemistry); Mr Boag (Director of the Stahl); Mr Gillings (Politics); Mr Johnson (German); Mr R.J. Page (Undermaster); Mr Taylor (Geography) and Mr Vincent (Design Technology), who is the Deputy Housemaster.
