ParentMail
ParentMail® is a commercial organisation which offers client schools the ability to store and group parental email addresses and mobile telephone numbers so that the same message can be sent to several parents, or ultimately the whole parental body. Parents new to Oundle may be familiar with the system at their child’s previous school. Its website can be viewed at www.parentmail.co.uk
Oundle rarely sends out hard copies of letters or information to parents now; these are sent by ParentMail as email attachments, and will also be available on the School and/or ParentMail websites for downloading at any time.
Notices are sent throughout the academic year as and when generated, to avoid parents receiving ten or fifteen messages at the end of a Quarter. We also strive to avoid sending out too many messages on any given day. As a registered user of ParentMail all messages will be sent directly to your inbox, and you will have access via their website to an archive of all messages and attachments which have been sent to you.
To keep in touch with what is going on, and to be informed of activities and opportunities open to your children, it is therefore important to give the School permission to register your email address(es) and mobile telephone number(s) with ParentMail. Mobile telephone numbers will only be used to send an SMS text message directing you to read an email, usually when the message is very important or urgent. The company depends on the trust of its partner schools and does not divulge any contact details to any other party.
Please use the form available here (.pdf format) to submit your contact details. As this requires a signature the form must be returned in hard copy by post or by hand please and we cannot register you for the service without your agreement.
