Speech Day Marks End of Academic Year

Following the Commemoration Service for School Leavers on Speech Day, Oundle pupils and their families, Staff, Governors and friends of Oundle gathered in the Two Acre marquee to mark the end of the academic year.

Guests were welcomed by the Chairman of the Governors, Julian Tregoning, who reported on the robust outlook for the School, and congratulated the Staff on the outstanding results of the recent Ofsted inspection.

The Headmaster, Charles Bush, reflected on a very busy and most successful year, highlighting, among others, the outstanding academic and extra-curricular achievements of Samuel Taylor (L), the musical brilliance of Gabrielle Teychenne (Sn), the distinguished CCF career of Freya Lygo (W), and the remarkable cricketing records set by Harry Ramsden (F).

Prizes were presented by the Master of the Grocers’ Company, Rory Macnamara. The Headmaster’s Prize for Service to the School was presented to the Heads of School, George Hughes (G) and Emma Trevor-Jones (D). Dux of School was awarded to Edwin Sung (F).
