Fives star comes to Oundle

During the same week in which cricket and netball saw their young hopefuls coached for an afternoon by leading internation players, the sport of fives welcomed one of its own legends to Oundle.

Wayne Enstone, the winner of more National Fives titles than anyone in living memory, visited the School on Thursday 17th January to deliver a Masterclass in Fives.

Wayne gave help and advice on integrating Fives into the sports’ curriculum from an early age; working with teaching staff in the morning and with team players in the afternoon. In a later session during evening Voluntaries he introduced a large number of 1st and 2nd Form to the game. The day was a very rewarding one, and Wayne was very impressed with the new facilities and the enthusiasm of both the staff and pupils.

Wayne, who has featured in the Guinness Book of Records for holding the British number one ranking for 15 consecutive years, gave an extremely constructive and well-received workshop.
