Posted on 21/05/07
The Great Hall threw its doors open yesterday to host the International Fair once again .
Sunday 20th May saw the body of the Hall converted into a thriving market place of hubbub and activity as pupils and visitors visited the many stalls staffed by pupils.
The Fair set out to display the cultural diversity presently represented by pupils within the School. Organised by pupils Alan Liu (B), Ivan Yuen (Ldr) Caroline Blaum (N), Colin Tang (Ldr) and Cameron Keats (B), stalls displayed produce and food which were specialities of the region being represented, and many offered information and presentations on their country of origin.
Boris Videnov (Ldr) won the prize for "Best Stall" with his display of his home country of Bulgaria.
Represented were Austria, Bermuda, Bahrain, Brittany, Bulgaria, China, Denmark, England, Germany, Indonesia, Ireland, Japan, Kenya, Korea, Lebanon, Malaysia, Russia, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand UAE, USA.
Proceeds from the various ventures raised £360, which will be donated to World Vision.
