The Way We Were
Eyes will be glued to the TV on Sunday evening as a rather special view of Oundle is shown on ITV1. As the second programme in the new six-part Anglia TV series, archive footage of the School from the 1930s will form part of this week's broadcast.
Billed as "the people's history series" and specialising in using archive film, The Way We Were is looking at "Schooldays" on Sunday May 7th at 6:00 p.m. Part of the programme, which was made with the cooperation of the Oundle School Archive and School Archivist Mr Stephen Forge, will comprise scenes from the film A Day at Oundle, shot around the School in 1931. The images will be complemented by reminiscences by Old Oundelians who were at school at the time.
