Fashion Junkie 2006
The fruits of more than nine months preparation for organisers Elizabeth Anderson (L) and Andrew Lam (G) finally reached the stage in the Stahl Theatre this week. Ticket sales for this unique production are expected to raise more than £7000 for the designated charities Mencap, The Childrens Trust and the Teenage Cancer Trust.
A cast of thirty pupils modelled and danced their way through the show, wearing clothes designed and made by Mel Nairn (K), Greg Ling (StA), Kate Moyle (D), Will Booth (Ldr), Anna Bernard (Sn), Cassy Vaz (L) and Rosie Wordie (L); with direction and choreography coming from the organisers Elizabeth and Andrew.
Originally conceived and directed last year by (now) Old Oundelians Sophie Cundale and Becky Taverner, the show this year has incorporated more elements of dance in the performances, in addition to the central theme of fashion.
Further fundraising will take place during the Fashion Junkie Gala Night to be held on the last night of the performances, in which some of the clothes shown in the show are auctioned, and from the Fashion Junkie discos to be held over the coming weekend.
