Modern British Printmakers
4th March to 26th March 2006
This exhibition will be a selection from the extensive stock of Modern British printmakers from the holdings of the Goldmark gallery. It will feature Lithographs made at the Curwen Press under the direction of Stanley Hayter, the doyen of British lithographers.
Artists, such as Henry Moore, made their work available to a wider public through the medium of printmaking, producing high quality images at democratic prices. Many other artists, like Eduardo Paolozzi and Richard Hamilton, have found new audiences through their experimentation with the new technologies available through screen printing.
