Course Specification: AQA Geography (2030)

Geography is a study of patterns, trends and issues through time and space. It is both a science and social science. It is unique in the sense that it studies the past, present and future. It provides an understanding of our heritage, both through historic and geologic timescales, incorporating contemporary themes and traditional elements. The course teaches pupils about the physical and human challenges that we face today. An understanding of these issues will enable them to contribute widely to the social, economic, political and environmental challenges that will shape our future.

Attendance on a Residential Field Trip in March 2010 is compulsory. There is no written coursework requirement in this course.
