Study Support

This is a one year course offered as an option during the AS year only. Pupils may opt into Study Support following guidance from their tutor and Housemaster or Housemistress.

This department is staffed by specialist teachers in the majority of the subjects being studied at AS by the pupils participating in this course. The department seeks to encourage pupils to think and work independently and at a pace that allows them to fulfil their potential. Study Support Lessons are a chance for pupils, especially those lacking confidence, to seek out help with study skills, and to cover ongoing academic tasks that are causing difficulty. Much of the teaching is one to one or with small groups.
