Information Officer

£22,859 per annum
35 hpw, 52 weeks per annum

The Information Officer will support the Oundle Society’s  social and fundraising activities by accurately maintaining a the database of the Society’s membership, developing appropriate management reports and carrying out detailed prospect research; as well as working with other departments within the School to improve systems and ensure compliance with charity law and accounting regulations.  The role additionally involves the preparation of information for internal and external audiences, including the project-management of articles for both on-line and off-line use, brochures, reports, and other publications.

The successful applicant will be highly numerate with experience of using databases and a good knowledge of MS Office.  High levels of accuracy and attention to detail, an organised yet flexible approach, and a persuasive communication style are essential.

Events Officer and Team Administrator

£24,697 per annum

The Events Officer & Team Administrator will be responsible for the co-ordination and organisation of the Oundle Society events programme, including the conception and implementation of a broad range of events for the purposes of friend-raising, fundraising and reconnection. This role will also be responsible for the smooth day to day running of the Oundle Society office for the Director of Development and his team, ensuring that all secretarial and administrative tasks are completed efficiently.

The successful applicant will be have experience of events organisation, as well as general administration experience.  As the post holder will often be the first point of contact for enquirers to the Oundle Society, good communication skills and a smart, well groomed appearance are essential.

Buildings Manager


Full time, permanent

Oundle School is one of the country’s premier co-educational boarding and day schools.  Spread throughout the historic town of Oundle (approximately 12 miles from Peterborough), the School owns and maintains a large number of buildings and extensive grounds and gardens. 

The Building Department is maintains and develops all School properties including boarding houses, teaching areas, sports, music and drama facilities, administration areas and staff accommodation.  With an annual budget of £1.4m, three direct reports and a staff of 24, the Buildings Manager will be responsible for the day to day management of the Building Department.  This includes the provision of a repair service for the School’s buildings; a planned maintenance programme; and the planning and execution of improvement and refurbishment works. 

The successful candidate will have at least ten years’ construction industry experience, including at least three years in a management capacity.  Experience of budgetary management and control, knowledge of asbestos management, knowledge of construction contracts, and project management skills are essential.
